I've raised £5000 to make 'just a bad period' history.

Conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, PMDD, infertility, fibroids, and POI impact millions of people in the UK. And whilst each reproductive health condition affects people in different ways, they all have one thing in common. Their real, day-to-day impact on a person’s life keeps getting dismissed. At school, at work, at home, and in the GP’s office.
This has to change.
Freja’s is a space for people to share their reproductive health story.
Because the more we share, the louder we get, the harder we are to ignore.
In Norse mythology, Freja is the goddess of fertility, battle, and death. Freja is also the name of a friend of ours, who one night took to Instagram, to ask: “What the hell is happening with my cycle and my body? And why won’t anyone take this seriously?”. So we decided to do just that. Take it seriously that is.
We are collecting stories from people living with conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, PMDD, fibroids, and infertility - from all over the UK. From all walks of life.
Our goal is to change the way society talks, thinks, and feels about reproductive health conditions - and to create a space for anyone living with reproductive health conditions to feel less alone.
We believe that it is through the power of storytelling that we can unlock true empathy, and begin the journey towards a more supportive society.
Freja's is a space for people to share their stories and finally have their voices heard. Without bias. Without 'it's just a bad period' - just: we hear you, we believe you, and your experience matters. It's simple. It's powerful. And it is incredibly important.
Freja's is a project built on passion, frustration, and a belief that society needs to do better for the millions of people who live with reproductive health conditions. But passion alone does not foot the bills. We are raising funds to cover:
Website maintenance, Insurance, Software, Anti-racism and Inclusion training, Fees associated with running a CIC, and Salaries.
