7 years agoRescue workers are continue to dig the disaster site which stretches along a few miles along the foot of the Sugar Loaf mountain and Hill Station. Several bodies have been found near the beach along the Atlantic Coastal waters of Freetown. Over 350 victims were laid to rest last Thursday, 17th of August 2017, in a mass multi-faith burial which took place in Waterloo, in the east of the capital. 200 of those laid to rest are children. Over 600 people are yet to be accounted for, presumed buried under the tons of mud and rocks.

7 years agoOver 400 bodies have been recovered so far. 139 bags of body parts were buried yesterday. The search and recovery of bodies continues. About 3,000 people are believed to be displaced. 71 rescued injured About 600 people still missing. There are fears that corpses still trapped in the rubble and mud pose serious risk of disease such as Cholera, Diarrhoea and Typhoid. With your kind donation, we will be able to help those affected by the terrible disaster in Freetown. Thank you.
