Story

I am starting this page to raise money in memory of my wonderful little brother, Freddie McClean, who tragically passed away in March 2021.

Freddie spent two and a half months fighting an undiagnosed neurological condition, in the Intensive Care Unit of St George's Hospital. He fought bravely every day in the worst climate, where the hospitals were becoming overwhelmed. Sadly, with what he was suffering from and the situation at the hospital it was just too much for him to keep going.

Freddie was the greatest person. He was so loving and kind, quick-witted, funny and beautiful. Anyone who knew him would already know this. He will be so missed by so many, always. I could spend hours talking about him but my words will never do him justice. He truly was miraculous.

We are raising this money so that his legacy could stop even one other person and their loved ones from going through this - it's what Freddie would have wanted.

Currently we are unsure of the exact condition that he suffered from. There is an ongoing autopsy investigation, which we hope will provide an answer and a diagnosis.

I will donate everything we raise to a charity which reflects the underlying condition he had.

If no answer is forthcoming I will donate the funds to The Encephalitis Society, as an auto-immune encephalitis was Freddie's doctors' best guess of a diagnosis at the time of his death.

I miss you so much little bro. All our love, always and forever xxxxxxxxxxx
