Story
"your child has cancer"...words that no parents should ever hear. Sadly, in October 2016 Sandra and Dave were given this devastating news which would change their lives forever. Frankie their beautiful 4 year old daughter an energetic little girl full of fun had been diagnosed with Rhabdbomyosarcoma - cancer of the muscle tissue. Following the diagnosis they immediately embarked upon the journey of chemo, blood transfusions and frequent hospital stays.
The speed of how quickly the disease took hold of Frankie has been frightening. The sickness and pain she is enduring daily is heartbreaking. Chemo is tough and has left Frankie fragile and exhausted. The cheery happy little girl is now in constant pain and suffering.
The nightmare continues for the family with a further tumour identified in January. The next steps for Frankie's treatment will be dependant on further biopsies but are likely to involve travelling to America for radiotherapy once she is strong enough.
The cost of cancer to this family is immense not just emotionally but financially with Sandra and Dave both self-employed and having to earn money to keep a roof over their heads, pay their bills, as well as paying for hotel accommodation to be near the hospital all whilst trying to save money to be able to ensure they can go to support Frankie if she needs to travel to America for treatment. Frankie needs her mum, dad and big brother Finlay by her side now more than ever. They are living a nightmare I cannot even imagine and Frankie's pain is agonising for all their family and friends to see.
Please dig deep and give what you can to help. They are going through the unimaginable and should not have to be worrying about finding the money to stay together. Anything you can give no matter how small can help.
Thanks

Frankie's Army
8 years agoToday's the day we all take on the challenge of Born Survivor for our own little survivor Frankie. It's going to be tough but nothing like what she been through over the last 8 months. The last bout of chemo damaged Frankie's liver which is currently meaning more hospital trips but she fights on and continues to be strong and battle this terrible disease. Good luck to all my fellow army mates today 'Go Frankie's Army!!!' x
