    Story

Firstly I’ll introduced myself, I am samantha, and I am a friend of Abbey & Lorna.

    - update 23/09/2022- Sadly today at 9am Abbey lost her battle to lupus. We are all extremely devastated but thankfully she left us peacefully and comfortably. She informed us last week her father in spirit has come to collect her and that she would take her last breath at 6. She was in room number 9 and left us at 9am (upside down 6) outside of her patio doors at st Catherine’s planted a large yellow rose bush. Her nanny & father were laid to rest with yellow roses. We picked a rose for her and laid it on her bed sheets. The past 3 days, her room had contained more than one festher, appearing from mid air. Abbey had sat and planned her funeral with her mother lorna a few weeks back. Our angel really knew what she wanted hey! she will have the send off that she wanted and deserved🤍

I have set up this page, to fulfil Abbeys dream which will be lived through her mother and her 3 yr old baby sister. As sadly, Abbey is reaching the end of her story🤍

Abbey was diagnosed with Lupus when she was younger. Which she has fought a very long hard battle with many people by her side.

Abbey received a liver transplant hoping she would grace us for longer, but sadly this wasn’t the case and her body rejected her transplant. This was extremely traumatic for her to go through so unfortunately decided she didn’t want a second time round experience, which was devastating, but understandable. We respected her wishes and held her hand every step of the way.

Lorna her mother, asked Abbey a few weeks ago.. if she wanted to do anything before she left us. Abbey wished to see her horse for the last time at St Catherine’s hospice where she was residing at the time. Lorna knew this was pretty achievable. But there were one more wish..to visit Disneyland. Sadly the budget doesn’t stretch that far to make that happen. At least Lorna thought, but im here to try and make that happen. Abbey is coming up to her last few days, week. Who knows as she keeps surprising us. Therefore, joining her mother and sister in Disney is impossible. But I know Abbey would love them to live her dream for her.

I haven’t seen Abbey out of Mickey Mouse pjs 🥹 shes obsessed!

Abbey turned just 24 on 1st August. 24 and what feels like life is against her. She didn’t deserve any of this with so much life ahead of her. Her family and friends are devastated.

Lorna her mother, is so strong. We dont know how she’s coped. She is currently suffering with a hernia which she’s carried for 2 years. She’s even named him Ernie. She desperately needs medical attention but can’t and wont leave her daughter Abbey. She will undergo an operation once Abbey has sadly joined her father.

Abbey lost her baby brother aged just 11 weeks old, followed by her father shortly after, due to a murder when laying flowers on his sons grave. Lorna is now losing her beautiful daughter due to this awful illness which cannot be cured.

Lorna has a little girl named melody who is only 3. This is Abbeys baby sister & they were extremely close. How do you explain this to a 3yr old?

I have no idea how Lorna has kept it together and still remained positive in such uncertain times.

Abbey loved cars, and has given her car to her older brother who she loves dearly. He will look after this and make the modifications that Abbey wanted.

She loved her horse, who will lead her coffin on her special day.

For Lorna, due to the pain and extremity of Ernie the hernia, Lorna is unable to work. Especially whilst caring for Abbey in her short time left. If my goal is not met, Lorna will contribute funds to a beautiful send off for her daughter.

She will also need to replace the mobility car of Abbeys to ensure she can transport melody to school and back when she starts and to attend hospital appointments for herself.

Abbey wishes to be cremated with her doggie Riley who’s now 18 years old. I believe Lorna may have their ashes infused into a tattoo or some jewellery so they are always together at all times.

Abbey is currently unconscious but comfortable and pain free, while we sit by her and hold her hand, we want the best send off for this angel🤍

    Dear Lorna,

We all love you very much, and your daughters will be and are very proud of you. You are surrounded by people that love and support you no matter what hour, or day. Please never be afraid to ask for help.
