Hi!

I’ve started this Crowdfunding page on behalf of my godson, James Garrington.

James is 16 years old, from an average working family in Dudley in the West Midlands. He has been offered one of just a few places to study at the English National Ballet School in London over the next three years. This is a prestigious, but expensive privilege which will involve relocation from the Midlands to London.

We are immensely proud, not simply because he is so talented, but because he has worked incredibly hard since the age of three to achieve his dream. While many of his peers have finished school and enjoyed their down time, he has attended classes, travelled the country for residential courses, summer schools, competitions, auditions and rehearsals. James has performed and practised like a professional, doing as much as he can to develop and perfect his skills. With several awards already under his belt, he shows great promise, having already performed with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the English Youth Ballet, and as a lead in Coppellia for the Alba Ballet Company amongst others.

James has succeeded through his own determination, and this is why it would be so frustrating for him not to take his passions further just because of funding. This is why we are asking for your support and thank all those who can help! Donations will go towards tuition fees, accommodation, food, travel, ballet shoes, dance clothing and medical costs.
