I've raised £10000 to Help Hanwell Zoo through lockdown. #YourZooNeedsYou x

As we find ourselves in a second lockdown, we look back at what has been a very difficult year for us all. We have now been closed for a total of over 100 days this year. That's 100 days of no ticket sales, and a years worth of events and education visits cancelled.
The funds raised through these channels goes directly to the running of Hanwell Zoo, caring for our incredible animals, our conservation programmes and funds our many community projects aimed at providing a safe space for some of our most vulnerable neighbours to work and learn. We provide programmes for 1000's of local residents each year, from those with varying mental and physical abilities, young people at risk of offending, people that are currently homeless and children in care, to name a few. And it is these already marginalised groups that have been hit hardest.
With the funds dedicated to conservation, education and community running low, we once again find ourselves asking for donations to help keep Hanwell Zoo going well into 2021. We truly understand the hardships so many of us are currently facing, but if you are able to donate, your kind gift will go directly towards our programmes. It will go directly to conserving the 100's of animals we care for and conserve, the 1000's of service uses who rely and benefit from our engagements, and the 100,000's that enjoy and learn from the zoo each year.
Our work is unrivalled in, and essential for, our community. No other local facility serves so many. Our inclusivity, affordability, and drive for equity is essential and pivotal to our place in the heart of Ealing, and your donation can ensure we can continue to serve the natural world, young minds and the well being of all our neighbours, well into the future.
