I've raised £5000 to Open a community shop in Forest Row to resell, recycle and reuse unwanted items

Hi, we’re FRowResource. We’re a not-for-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to helping Forest Row become a zero waste village.
For the last three years we’ve been campaigning to re-open the tip in Forest Row. As you may know, that bid was rejected by East Sussex County Council just before Christmas. Well, we’ve wiped away our tears and we’re back with a new vision of how we can help the community reuse and recycle waste.
We have identified a shop premises in Forest Row that is ideally suited to being a community shop taking donations, then reselling, reusing or recycling unwanted items. The shop will employ two members of staff, and become a hub for a range of activities that help us drive towards being a zero waste village.
We are fundraising from the parish council and other grant making bodies to support the opening costs of the shop. Based on figures from other similar shops (including the old charity shop in Forest Row) we are confident that the business will be a going concern in the long term.
We are fundraising now for two reasons:
1 - We urgently need to pay for the deposit and six months' rent on the shop
2 - We want to show to our funding partners that there is genuine local support for the project.
The fundraising target is a goal not a threshold and we would still be able to use less.
