Story

It is heartbreaking to write, but when you hear of any young child having Leukemia it tears you apart; but when it happens to someone very close to you, it certainly hits home. When Ricardo, one of the founding Members of the First Breath group, who over the years has raised almost 30,000CHF for different charities, told us that his son, Thomas, has Leukemia, we certainly felt the need to try and help and donate money to him and Thomas. However, in true Ricardo Style, he refused our offer and asked us instead to help the Hospital in which young Thomas is being treated. Without hesitation we said YES.

Ricardo asked if there was anything that could aid the unit treating the young kids, and they said an Infrared Vein Finder would help reduce the pain of not being able to find one during their already painful procedure and difficult treatment.

So naturally, we have our goal. To raise 7000EUR to buy a new machine for the Hospital in Porto. If we surpass our goal, we will help the Hospital with new machines’ and other equipment that they may need.

Over the next year, different people will be doing different fundraising events to try and raise awareness and sponsorship. There is already a bike ride planned from Geneva to Vienna next July, and there are rumors that the two Toms’ will be attempting the Tour Du Mont Blanc over the upcoming October Break.

Thank you to anyone in advance that can donate money to the cause, every little bit helps and it is very much appreciated.

Many thanks,

The First Breath Boys.
