We are embarking on a crazy challenge to raise money for a desperately needed wheelchair and new buggy, with a Snowdon Challenge and Finley's coming too!

Meet Finley. At just 2 days old he developed meningitis which went undiagnosed and the uncontrollable seizures he suffered caused long-term brain damage resulting in quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and many other health conditions. His parents were told the devastating news that he may only live a few weeks and so they took him home to make lasting memories with their family. As the weeks passed Finley defied all the odds and he started to show improvements in his sight and understanding.

Finley is now 9 years old, and he continues to be a little fighter, his journey so far is not only heart-breaking but incredibly inspirational. Every year he faces hospital trips and the risk he may not make it constantly looms over his family. Despite his health conditions, Finley continues to light up the world with his smile. His amazing family helps him to enjoy as normal a life as possible, but it is not easy, and funding is very difficult to get. Weekly physio is helping him to improve his balance and strength in the hope that one day he will be able to take his first independent steps. As he continues to grow, so do the costs of new equipment and private therapy and the funds raised will be used to purchase a new wheelchair which is custom made and an outdoor buggy chair to keep Finley outdoors and active with his family.

We will be completing our challenge at the end of June and we look forward to sharing our journey with you all as we start our training and have some fun with our fundraising events.
