Iʼve raised £4,110 to Help Ferryn and her family

    Story

Our friend Ferryn was diagnosed with leukaemia on 31/03/22.

Ferryn is a happy, smiley 4 year old girl. She lives in rural Scotland with her mum, dad and older brother, plus a number of animals! She’s a real outdoors girl who also loves princesses!

Ferryn got poorly very suddenly and is currently in hospital over 160 miles from her home.

Both of Ferryn’s parents are self-employed so their income has taken a huge hit with her mum staying in the hospital with Ferryn, and her dad with her older brother at home. Her dad and brother are having to make the 3.5 hour journey to see Ferryn, and give her mum a bit of a break so she can get some sleep.

They would never ask for anyone’s help, so I have started this page for them (with their permission). The purpose is to help with living costs, fuel, accommodation near the hospital when needed etc.

Ferryn’s mum is my friend and she is so giving and caring, always going out of her way to help others and never asking for anything in return.

This has been an indescribable shock to them as a family and this is my way of trying to help ease some pressure in this horrendous time.

I just sent the first payment to ferryn’s mum! They now have to spend more time near the hospital than they first thought so this money is a real lifeline for them. Thank you so very much everyone for your kind donations. This really means so much and will make a huge difference.

Ferryn’s mum is totally blown away by the support and can’t thank everyone enough. Ferryn has been diagnosed with type B ALL. She has a 6 month invasive chemo plan. With the first 6 weeks being solely in the hospital where she is now - a long long way from home They are awaiting results for genetic testing to see if she has to go onto a longer and stronger chemo plan, should get the results in about 10 days. She also says thank you for all the cards and small gifts people have sent and everytime something arrives it really picks her up ❤️
