Story

In March 2019, we were devastated to be told that our good friend and colleague, Peter Fell ( Felly) had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Pete has been a member of the  South Cumbria Pupil Referral Service for over 16 years. Throughout that time, he has influenced many young people through his work and he is remembered by many pupils for this.  We celebrate his humanity, his consistently firm yet fair approach and, most importantly, his humour. He buoys us all up every day with his positivity and we are all richer for it.

Since November of 2018 Pete had been struggling to walk but continued to come to work until February 2019 when a fall forced Pete to be signed off. Pete now needs a wheelchair and has assistance for daily routines.

Being a practical bunch we have set about fundraising to raise money for what will become essential aids in helping Pete retain some independence and dignity. We would also like to contribute to Pete and his family sharing some experiences and creating some special memories.
