The club set up in protest to Malcolm Glazer's takeover of Manchester United' is a statement often used to describe FC United. But while there is no doubt that FC would not have happened without the American invasion, it was the catalyst, the final straw, but not the sole reason.

Nearly 18 years since we were formed, we're still going strong showing that there is another way, and with the backing of over 2000 members, are giving back to the community in which we are based, and to support our activities we have been awarded 2 x 10k places and 2x half-marathon places in the Great Manchester Run on the 22nd May and are looking for sponsorship for our runners:
