Babs, we need your help to keep Fatt Projects going!

Fatt Projects Ltd. is a Birmingham based queer performance Company. We make shows, parties, performances, events, and juicy creative bits focused on advancing queer joy. Our work celebrates queerness, community, care, empowerment, and change-making.

Founded in 2021, our recent projects have included creating accessible and sober LGBTQ+ dance spaces and a large-scale community performance at Birmingham Pride with MOBILISE, building the world's first development model to support the creation of queer-positve performance work for children and families in PALAVER , our drag-celebration of musical theatre SEND IN THE CLOWNS , and our outdoor shows BIG GAY DISCO BIKE and DISCO TEA PARTY.

We are a small independent not-for-profit company trying to do big things for LGBTQ+ communities in Birmingham and beyond. We receive no core funding to cover our staffing, office, or administrative costs so everything we do has to come out of fundraising and our booking fees. We’re currently in a transitional period where we’re planning our next steps and fundraising for some big (very exciting) future projects - all of this takes time, but in the here and now the next few months are looking really difficult.

We have an amazing office space that supports a group of local LGBTQ+ creatives to work, make our shows, store equipment, and to rehearse. But the cost of everything is going up, we need to cover our accountant fees, insurance, storage, renting office space, wifi, bills, administration time, and some unexpected repairs we need to make to some damaged equipment.

So, here we are asking you for help - we need to raise around £5000 to keep going for the next few months, keep our office space, and ensure we can continue to deliver the work we’re doing until we can bring some long-term project funding in.
