I've raised £5000 to fund materials for home made protective face shields for NHS and other front line workers - Swindon, Winchester, other locations

A team of engineers with personal 3D printers and laser cutters are home manufacturing face shields for NHS employees and other frontline workers.
We already have funding for about 2000 units and production is at max capacity but these face shields have been snapped up and orders keep coming in so we want to raise more money for materials, to continue production.
Laser cut face shields cost around £3 each and we have max capacity of about 300 per day. 3D printing is much slower, we can produce around 50 per day and they cost around 50p.
The engineers are giving up their time for free. Every penny we receive will be put towards raw materials, packaging or shipping.
Requests so far include Great Western Hospital, GP Surgeries, and Winchester Palliative Care Team. We are also extending to support care homes and pharmacies. Any requests, please contact Nina.

Update: 8th April
On behalf of the team, we'd like to say a huge thank you for getting us to our target and more! We will continue to buy material and make the face shields for as long as budget allows so please keep spreading the word.
We are pleased to say the face shields are already making their way to people who need them - we are shipping as soon as we make them.
The clever engineers are refining the design constantly and the latest 3D printed design will hopefully eliminate elastic which is preferable for hospitals for easier cleaning. Thanks again for helping us to help front line workers.
Please contact Nina with any requests.
