East Thurrock Community Association (ETCA) would like to organise a 'Thank You Party' for NHS workers and carers in our local community. Obviously nobody knows when this Coronavirus pandemic will end but we would like our hard working NHS workers and carers to have something to look forward to when it's over.
The ETCA would host the party and put the first £1000 behind the bar for drinks. We are asking for donations from the community so that we can fund the drinks for the whole night for our local heroes. We would also like to provide a buffet and disco/ entertainment as well.
We are a non profit local community hall but have capacity for 220 in our main hall. If it proves that we need more room we can also open up our lounge bar and upstairs hall that would provide room for another 150 people, so could host up to 370 of our local heroes.
We are in contact with some nurses from Basildon hospital who are very appreciative of our idea and will help us promote the party when this is over and we can arrange a date or possibly two dates, to catch all NHS workers on opposite shifts. We would also like to get in contact with our local care homes to talk to our local carers as they are doing an equally important job and also deserve our support and thanks.
