I've raised £5000 to revolt against Section 21 evictions.

Every 7 minutes a family is served with a Section 21 no fault eviction in this country. Every week, 244 households are evicted following a section 21 notice. 200,000 children are set to be homeless this Christmas. This is inhumane, and unforgivable.
Our friends are getting evicted from their home after 26 years. Their cottage is situated in a forgotten corner of the 6000 acre Mapledurham Estate in South Oxfordshire and they've never missed a rent payment, even during lockdown. On that land, they've raised 5 children (3 of whom are still dependent), made art, grown trees, cultivated food and friendships and created an eccentric and magical space.
But now the owners (who also own 2 other estates, with over 50 properties on this one estate alone) have served them a Section 21 eviction notice - also known as a no-fault eviction - in order to redevelop the house and drive up their profits.
We are refusing to lie down and let absentee landowners, who have never met their tenants, rip out one of the beating hearts of our community without a fight.
We are raising money to support Nick and Emma during this difficult time and to highlight the injustices nationwide. We are going to use the money to fuel a nationwide campaign not only to stop Section 21 evictions, but to show the people of England the power of community. None of us are being paid for our time, but there are costs associated with broadcasting this story as widely as possible. We are very grateful for anything you can give to help this campaign.
