Story

The Emergency Services Aid Charity is a charity in formation, whose purpose is to provide aid around the world to countries in need of support.

Made up of Emergency Services personnel from across Europe, we have formed to be the 'host charity' of our flagship mission: Operation Zephyr.

Operation Zephyr is a mission to transport 35 Ambulances and Fire Engines to The Gambia, where, working closely with local charities and the Gambian Police and Fire and Rescue Services, we have identified rural communities desperately in need of ambulances to transport their patients to hospitals to receive emergency care. Something we take for granted is tragically missing in these communities, resulting in tragic and unnecessary loss of life. Setting out in September 2022 after two years of delay due to COVID, this will be our first mission, and from there we will look to see where else we can support our hardworking international colleagues, wherever they may be.

This page has been created to help us raise funds whilst we work to become registered officially with the UK Charity Commission, to help us start to make the difference that we want to see.
