Story
As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic Enfield Rangers Youth Football Club have been hit hard financially. Due to the pandemic, just like many other businesses and charities, we had to close our doors to training, match days and bookings. This has, ultimately, left us with a huge loss of income.
We are a registered charity and our only income comes from those who donate and any income made from our clubhouse. The pandemic brought all this to a halt and due to the closure of the clubhouse and the suspension of youth football we have been effected.
Our current training pitch was in dire need of upgrading and was a health & safety risk due to the poor surface. We decided it was the right time to carry out the upgrade during lockdown as we had the time to get the works completed without any interruption to our teams training. To facilitate the cost of the project we have taken out a loan of £25,000.00.
As a community football club and registered charity we are proud of our new training pitch but we now have the loan to repay on top of our normal monthly outgoings.
As we look ahead to the reopening of the clubhouse and the return to football we are hoping to bring funds back in, however, we can't fund the club alone. We need the help of the community and other donors to keep this multi-cultural club open and to thrive post COVID!
