Everyone involved in running this programme is suffering with severe/complex Epilepsy and are looking for ways to help others who are going through the same thing/s as them.

We started off by creating Support Boxes. They are filled with such items as sweets, smellies, socks and lots more personalised items. Each Support Box also has atleast £10 spent in one of the official Epilepsy Charities.

We are now trying to help provide people, suffering with Epilepsy, the vital medical equipment that all to often is very expensive. Such things as Pulse Oximeters, Blood Pressure Machines and MedPacs for life saving medications.

Daisy:
This Epilepsy support fund is so close to my heart as I myself have epilepsy and have experienced first hand how brutal it can be at times. I understand the importance of having all the right equipment, within an easy to reach area. Having the right medical supplies like Medpacs, to keep your life saving medication in, can help to give an individual their independence back. The support boxes are also an amazing idea as the individual who is going to receive the box is nominated by there peers for over coming obstacles, sharing parts of their journey or doing something brave and out of the ordinary!

The Epilepsy support fund is so important to me because it gives people, like me, the opportunity to be able to have things to benefit the management of their Epilepsy that maybe they can't have afford. Some people with epilepsy can't work and this gives them something to help them have a treat or gives them the ID card or ID bracelet they have been saving to buy. It's imperative we speak out and get epilepsy heard of because it affects so many people worldwide.
