I've raised £1315 to fund the purchase of a defibrillator to be sited outside The Strawbury Duck, Entwistle.

Every year many thousands of locals and visitors enjoy the countryside around Entwistle and the reservoir and yet if anyone were to have a cardiac arrest, the nearest defibrillator is at The Barlow in Edgworth - too far away to save a life.
As a local GP, I've seen at first hand the benefit of quick defibrillator use.
I would like to crowdfund the purchase of a defibrillator to be sited outside The Strawbury Duck pub that would serve Entwistle and the vicinity.
The owners of The Strawberry Duck have already agreed to the defibrillator being sited on one of their external walls (and have already started a collection in the pub) giving easy visibility and access to anyone needing to use it.
I have been in contact with United Utilities who are also supportive of the idea.
I have arranged for free defibrillator training for any residents of Entwistle and Edgworth (or indeed anyone who wishes to undertake it) but the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that we will crowdfund is also designed to be used by the non-trained user. They are simple and safe to use.
Please support me in gaining the funds required for this worthwhile cause.
