Story

This year there's not going to be the regular 'rolling winter shelter' where beds are made up in a different local church each night, instead, cosy B&B rooms are being rented for 3 months, hot meals are being provided and a day centre has also been planned (if you come out of tier 3!)

This will help to keep guests safe from dying of hypothermia whilst sleeping on the street and this year it will have the added benefit of reducing their risk of contracting Covid.

The Rainbow Centre’s Winter Shelter project offers 'wrap around services' during this time. They've always worked very closely with their guests and will be supporting them in finding permanent accommodation, as well as access any long term help they need, with physical or mental health issues, finding a GP or Dentist, substance abuse treatment and anything else they may need help with in order to successfully retain their new accommodation.

Together we can give hope to individuals that find themselves homeless and show them how valued they are within our community. After all, no one deserves to live on the streets.

Your donation, however big or small, will be helping to change a life this Christmas.

Thank you for taking the time to read all the way through and Merry Christmas to you
