Iʼve raised £410 to help a widow mother cover travel and healthy food expenses while caring for her 15 year old daughter, recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

Story
Having good neighbours can sometimes make up for the family that not all of us have. About a month ago the youngest daughter of our widow neighbour was diagnosed with a rather advanced form of osteosarcoma. Ana (not her real name) is only 15. This family live in social housing, on an estate in Islington, mother having been fighting for years with chronic depression, not in employment. Her eldest daughter - 19 years old, attends college and works a couple of days at JD Sports on minimum wage.
Hospital appointments are set at either UCH or Stanmore Hospital. This family do not own a car and cab journeys, about twice a week, can cost up to £70. I am trying to raise money to support this family with their travel expenses and organic, healthy food for Ana for the next three - four months, time in which she will undergo chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a major operation.
Thank you.

I shall be meeting them tonight at University College Hospital where Ana is currently receiving treatment. Share widely if you can. Thank you on their behalf.

A few years ago lots of generous people helped my uncle and his family (in Uruguay) to not be evicted from their home, through a campaign like this one. So I completely get why you’re doing this. :) x
