Story
“Lympne C.E. Primary School PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) raises additional funds for the school to finance special purchases and projects.
Our group of volunteers are busy throughout the year raising funds via a variety of different events to support projects within the school, which include a Forest School for the children, visits and trips that support school work, as well as extra materials for the library and classrooms.
A major project of ours this year is to replace the ageing Trim Trail in the school’s playground in time for the beginning of the next academic year (September 2019).
This outdoor activity equipment - similar to an obstacle course – is used by all our school children, promoting exercise and good health. However, it now stands at 10 years old, with three parts cordoned off for safety due to being condemned. Not only does this look quite sad in the playground, it also means that our children have less to play with.
We are doing all we can to raise the funds ourselves, however replacement costs range between £8,000 - £14,000. So, we could really do with a boost of support from our local community, which is why we are hoping you might help us with a donation?
Our PTFA loves working as a team, and we all really enjoy the interaction with the teachers and pupils in the school, and we are fiercely proud of the work we do for the school. The children love their school but with spending cuts, lots of ‘extras’ which used to be funded by the school are no longer possible.
Thanks so much for your donation! Every penny helps!
