Elstead Sharks Football Club needs money for various bits of essential kit that needs replacing. Most notably 2x 9v9 goals and 2x 11v11 goals at Burford Lodge and 2x 11v11 goals at Thursley Road. Pop up Kickster goals, training balls and other training kit are also on the list of items to update.

We have a vision of both Elstead football venues having high quality, up-to-date kit that gives our kids the equipment that makes them proud of the club they play for.

How much are we aiming to raise?

The cost of the three sets of goals alone is approx £11k after a negotiated discount.

What have we done so far?

You will have seen a couple of brilliant Sharks fundraising campaigns from Gary Peach’s sponsored Race To The King ultra marathon and the Euro’s sweepstake, both of which have raised a brilliant £3.5k for the club and are a great start towards our fundraising total.

What are we going to do?

We are planning several fundraising events over the next season, including some fun nights out where parents can enjoy an evening out in Elstead whilst making money for the club. Our programme starts with Stacey and The Offsider's LIVE from Elstead Village Hall on the 19th of October playing Indie and Rock classics.

The Sharks FunDay will be revamped and relaunched towards the end of this season.

In the meantime we would love EVERYONE to get involved in raising these funds with their teams and to involve our Sharks - the players - the kids this is all for.

We’d like to make this an inclusive and fun process that gets as many people invoiced as possible, no matter how big or small the contribution.

How can I help?

Each team needs a dedicated fundraising champion, ideally not a coach - they will be busy behind the scenes sorting everything for next season and if they’re not, they’ll be on a well earned break!

The fundraising champion will coordinate an activity that involves the kids in the team to raise money for Elstead Sharks.

Ideally the activity will involve the kids doing something together that gets them active over the summer and gives them ownership of the kit they have helped to buy.
