I am looking to raise a minimum of £10,000 to launch a mobile catering vehicle to support refugees across Europe who are literally starving and currently freezing to death, many of them small children.

This is not in any way a politically motivated move on my part, but just an attempt by a caring mother to help in the smallest way to ease the suffering of others at this very difficult time.

I have offers of unpaid help to operate the vehicle, but given the situation on the ground across Europe, I need to ensure that the vehicle complies with all applicable regulations. The van needs to be an operational kitchen not just for distribution. Deep fat fryers are not required as we will just use gas burners and griddles. It needs a fridge and a freezer and storage. It needs to meet rigorous hygiene standards and be mechanically sound as it will be continuously inspected by the police when they discover we are feeding refugees.

Once on the road I also need to ensure that I can continue to buy food and fuel and keep the vehicle in good order, so I hope that those of you who are able can offer support, however small, on an ongoing basis.

I have a number of vehicles available to me at present but simply lack the cash to get this literally ‘on the road’. I have given money, clothes, food and assistance to date along with many of my friends, but I need to appeal to those of you who may feel powerless and unable to help directly.

Every donation provided will be logged and if you wish we will write a message from you on the vehicle so your aid and assistance can also be combined with a message of support.
