ELLA (Exclusion Limits Life’s Achievements)

Ella together is an inclusive performing Art Company. Working with children, young people and adults with a learning disability and their mainstream peer. More recently the group have expanded its work to enable vulnerable children and adults from other groups to access its classes.

Ella has a membership of 108 children and adults. Age range 5yrs to 74 yrs

Working towards a performance is crucial as this supports communication, team building, social interactions and building new friendships. Throughout the year there will be opportunities for our performers to showcase to others their
newly acquired skills and talents. Each year the group performs at the Brindley theatre to sell out audiences. They have performed many of the iconic musicals Oliver, Scrooge, Peter Pan, Sound of Music to name but a few. This year they have been awarded the license to perform Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

But as a community interest company the group work really hard in raising money for worthwhile causes both locally and regionally. The performed recently at the largest disability event in Europe to raise awareness of what can be achieved and raising the message that disability is not a barrier to learning and achieving. Ellatogether aim to change the perceptions of disability.
