Dr. Maguo works tirelessly and with very little funding to benefit the lives of domestic animals and livestock in the Arusha region. Animal welfare in Tanzania is still not considered to be of great importance, which makes his work unique and valuable. He owns a small shelter at his home where he takes in stray dogs & tends to their needs in hopes of finding them safe homes. Once these dogs are re-homed, he does regular checks to ensure their safety and educates the owners on appropriate animal care.

Dr. Maguo also performs many other tasks such as mobile clinics, house calls for unwell pets and farm animals, education of local communities and Rabies vaccination drives for stray animals.
