I am using just Giving because I want to raise £150 the remaining cost of publishing my book "The mystery of Operation Alphabet," which I have written in the Lock down in Dedication of my Grandfather John Thomas Merrikin, Stoker first Class, HMS Acasta and the loss of 1531 Servicemen who died 8th June 1940, on HMS Glorious, HMS Ardent and HMS Acasta, blown up by two German Battleships. The case will not be officially opened until 2041, 100 years after the worst British Naval Disasters of WW2. Please can you support me.

"Mystery of Operation Alphabet" is a book in personal stories, pictures, segments out of books and Naval History to tell the story of the sinking of HMS Aircraft Carrier Glorious, HMS Ardent and HMS Acasta by German Battleships Genisenau and Scharnhorst 8th June 1940. This was the worst British Naval Tragedy in WW2 with the loss of 1531 men including my grandfather John Thomas Merrikin Stoker 1st Class, HMS Acasta.43 survived. The reason why I wrote this book was because I have never seen many history books that have spoken about what happened on 8th June 1940 in great detail, with answers. Many descendants of the war dead and even those who survived no little of what happened and so I have tried to bring the story alive and raise various thoughts, ideas and beliefs of what did happen. I have shared about GLARAC Association who represents the survivor's veterans families and wat dead with amazing work that they do and we al want Commander Glasfurd Acasta and John Barker Commander HMS Ardent and Nick Carter Leading seaman the man who shot the Scharnhorst to be given recognition for the bravery, Plus open up the records of the event that have been locked away unto 2041, which many people who are effected by this tragedy will have died before reaching this time.
