Although Edinburgh Zoo is sadly closed, our dedicated keepers and expert vets are still hard at work in our empty zoo, caring for over 2,500 amazing animals.

But without any income from visitors or government funding, our charity is now struggling to pay for the food needed by each of our animals.

Our shopping list stretches from bamboo to eucalyptus, and bananas to fish. It costs £2,000 to pay our daily food bill and our vets must be ready to treat anything from a tree frog to a rhino.
