Hi, I am running a 10k race to raise money in aid of Cambridgeshire Army Cadets Cyprus 2020.

I have been part of both the Army Cadet force and the Cambridgeshire Corp of Drums since the age of 12. I volunteer regularly to help my community and also entertain and open events with the Corp of Drums. I enjoy running with my local Bodymode Running Club and have had a very supportive coach.

This letter is to assure you that this is a genuine request for fundraising support. Our charity is the Army Cadet Force Association and the charity number is: 271635

Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force are taking 30 cadets to Cyprus for a cultural and historical visit in May 2020. Our cadets come from all areas of Cambridgeshire and some of these cadets are from the 7th most deprived area in the UK and we are hoping to give them the opportunity to afford the same experiences as those from other backgrounds. Our activities have a military theme, others have more of a community focus but they all inspire young people to challenge their limits, become more independent, confident and able to step up to any challenge. They also gain life, communication and confidence skills, something which these young people can take with them into their adult life.

The total cost for the trip for the cadets is £475 per person. We have only asked for a personal contribution of £250.
