eBonyhikers was set up specifically to provide inspiration, encouragement and support for Black People in the UK who are interested in exploring the outdoors through walking/hiking.

In my 10 years of walking/hiking throughout the UK I note a lack of diversity which is particularly marked with the absence of black people utilising the countryside and this I wish to see change.

Through walking in outdoor spaces the aim is to improve physical and mental mental well-being as well as normalise the visibility of people of colour in spaces where we are traditionally under represented

Your monetary support will go towards travel expenses, food, outdoor skills, equipment, promotion and publicity of the group. Additionally, support the development of walk leaders to ensure future continuation of the group
