May the peace, mercy and blessings of God Almighty be upon you

AlhumdiliLlah, by the Grace and Blessings of Allah we managed to secure a building for the long term future of the Masjid and Community Centre in St Mellons and East Cardiff. Towards the end of 2018, in just over four months we raised in excess of £200,000 to purchase the former police station in St Mellons which will be the foundation of the local Muslim Community's activities for years to come, God Willing. But then Covid hit……!!

The challenging element of fundraising for the construction phase begins now. We require a minimum £700,000 in total to create a long term, environmentally friendly and sustainable building for the future of the Muslims in St Mellons and East Cardiff.

The building will be demolished in the very near future and rebuilt to what you see in the above pictures in sha Allah, which all comes at a cost.

We currently hold £100,000 in reserves, £250,000 in a Welsh Government grant with the aim of raising the balance within the next six to eight months.

We hope to utilise this platform to raise £50,000+ throughout the remainder of 2021 towards the £700,000 total.

What do we require from you?

*1* Du'aa. Without the help of Allah nothing is possible. So please ask Allah to make this project a resounding success, a place of blessings, a place where our children can learn about our beautiful way of life, and a place that can benefit the whole community.

*2* To dig deep and donate directly to this incredibly worthwhile and rewarding project.

Uthman ibn Affan reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”

*3* To come forward and pledge that you will commit to raise a significant sum (£2k,/£5k /£10k etc) towards the project by asking family, friends and colleagues to donate.

Abu Mas’ud reported: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “My animal has died, so help me.” The Prophet said, “I do not have anything.” Another man said, “O Messenger of Allah, I can show him someone who can help him.” The Prophet said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a similar reward.”
