Story
* update on 21th of March
The fundraising page for Henrietta and Eliza Huszti is now closed. As a closure, I would like to share a few words.
On March 11th, I sent the remaining amount of £619.52, bringing the total funds raised to £7,791.87 after the page's processing fees.
The fundraiser started as an opportunity for the Hungarian community to support the family during this difficult time and was initially shared in Hungarian social media groups. However, it grew beyond that, bringing together not only Aberdonians but also people from across the UK for a good cause.
We would like to express our sincere condolences. Sending deepest sympathy to the Huszti family and wishing them peace and comfort during this time.
*update
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has donated or offered support over the past three weeks. Your generosity and kindness have made a tremendous difference.
The fundraising page will remain open until March 4th, as this is the shortest period allowed by the platform. However, in order to provide financial assistance to the family as soon as possible, I was able to withdraw the funds on Monday. After processing fees of the page, the family received nearly £7,200 yesterday.
Thank you again for your incredible support—it truly means the world to the family during this difficult time.
We are deeply heartbroken by the tragic loss of Henrietta and Eliza Huszti, who went missing on 7th of January and were sadly discovered on 31st in River Dee, Aberdeen. This unimaginable loss has left their family devastated and in this difficult time we want to come together to offer our support.
If you are able to contribute, any donation - no matter the amount - will help ease the financial burden on their grieving loved ones. Your kindness and generosity will mean so much to the family as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
Thank you for your support, compassion and prayers.
