Story

My little boy Dylan is 5 years old. He is a typical cheeky little boy who loves Ben 10, LEGO, playing with friends and looking after his little sister Sophie.

Dylan has a rare kidney disease. Dylan was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome in January 2018. There is no known cure for Nephrotic Syndrome but 9 out of 10 children respond to steroid treatment so we had high hopes! Unfortunately Dylan is the 1 in 10 that is steroid resistant. 32 days of steroids did nothing to help Dylan so he was diagnosed with Steroid Resistant Nephrotic Syndrome and given a biopsy that later confirmed our biggest fear that he has FSGS, or focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. NephCure explain it as "FSGS is a rare disease that attacks the kidney’s filtering units (glomeruli) causing serious scarring which leads to permanent kidney damage and even failure. FSGS is one of the causes of a serious condition known as Nephrotic Syndrome."

So! We need a cure! There are geniuses that are working hard to find a cure for this awful disease and we are on a mission to help them get that cure sooner.

I can't thank everyone enough. From the bottom of my heart thank you for caring about Dylan and donating. He's my world and I really appreciate it.
