Story
Dundee West Royals 2007 (Under 11's) football team are hoping to enter the Barcelona Cup in 2019, however, the huge expense required does not make the tournament affordable for all. The boys from the team will be climbing all 3 of the Sidlaw Hills in Angus on June 9th and are looking for sponsors. We appreciate any donations you can give.
The boys are a bunch of fit, talented and aspiring young footballers who successfully brought the Blackpool Cup home to Dundee in April 2018. Following on from this, the team have been given the opportunity to send 2 teams of boys to Barcelona to represent the city and provide a memorable experience for the players who could well be in with a chance of winning their first International Cup!
The Sidlaws are the backdrop to the boys' weekly training and matches yet many of the boys have never set foot in these hills. We are setting the boys a challenge to climb all 3 hills as a team and help raise sponsorship towards their Barcelona dream.
Football at this level in Scotland is run entirely by the goodwill of unpaid, volunteer coaches with any fundraising efforts managed by parent helpers, so we really need your donations to assist the team in their attempt to make it to Barcelona next Easter!
Dundee West CFC are a fantastic, not for profit, community based football club within Dundee providing local children of all abilities the opportunity to keep fit and enjoy football. http://dundeewestfc.co.uk/

7 years agoA HUGE thank you to everyone who has kindly sponsored us. We have raised a massive £1730 by doing our Sidlaws walk! This will go a long way towards making the Barcelona Tournament affordable for all in 2019. Your donations are greatly appreciated. The latest team photo is of the full squad of boys before their success in Carnoustie last weekend. Vamos Royals 2007!

We are parents, from a mixed range of backgrounds, collectively fundraising to help get our boys' football team to Barcelona in 2019. This is a once in a life time opportunity however isn't affordable for all. By raising money we can make sure all the boys can attend.
