Story
1,000 mile Cycle Race with my 15 year old son.
Myself and Sam are once again about to embark on another crazy cycling adventure (3rd time), The PanCeltic Ultra Distance Race.
The race is unsupported, with checkpoints along the way. This year's race starts on the 2nd July, in St-Malo, France. We will be riding 600 miles around Northern France, before catching a ferry over to Portsmouth, where we then have 350+ miles to undertake in the UK before finishing in Llandudno, North Wales.
Arnie's Story.
On Wednesday 14th June, Arnie's Family received the devestating news that Arnie has been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour that sadly cannot be treated. Imagine having to tell your 13 year old Son that He has less than a year to live. The Doctors have given him a prognosis of 6 to 12 months to live and his health will soon start to rapidly decline. His mobility, ability to eat and speak will soon be greatly affected. The family want to ensure that he can create lasting memories with his family and make the most of his time.
Arnie is such a loving boy, who is hilarious and full of life. Although he is being very brave, he is incredibly scared and sad to be leaving his family behind. This devastating news has left the family broken hearted and they are all determined to make his remaining time as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.
Arnie's parent's are self-employed, and with their focus now solely on his care, they will struggle to stay financially stable. The financial burden they face is immense, with a family of 7 to support, they will be unable to cover their daily living costs, bills and mortgage.
The Family also want to desperately move closer to their wider family in Manchester, where they can get the support they need.
Any donation no matter how small will be greatly appreciated and will help in some way. We understand that some may not be able to donate, but sharing this story with your friends, family and on social media will sp
