Story

Being apart during the pandemic has been tough for so many people. The Downsview Players are a social bunch, used to entertaining the local community and coming together to create all sorts of productions. While we remain apart for now, we're keen to contribute to our local community and - while it's our 90th anniversary too - give back to others facing their own challenges. So we're taking on a variety of 90-themed challenges in the month of April to see how much money we can raise, and also to raise our own spirits. We'll be splitting our funds between two amazing organisations working right here in Croydon:

Off the Record supports young people in Croydon with free, independent and professional counselling for 14 – 25 year olds. Their website is amazing! From online workshops to virtual fitness and a helpline too, they've been right there during the pandemic to support young people.

The Trussell Trust supports a network of over 1,200 foodbanks in the UK. Together, they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks at all.

Thanks so much in advance for any money you can donate to these amazing good causes - and we'll see you as soon as that curtain raises...and what a moment that will be.
