I have been saying ‘yes’ to homeless tortoises, including giant Sulcata and leopard for the last 20yrs. I have taken them in, fixed many of them with years of rehabilitation and given them a permanent sanctiary home. I have worked to pay for their upkeep. But my income does not allow for the increase in costs this year, and so for the first time i need to beg for help in order to keep them happy, healthy and in their home.
