I am participating, with some friends and colleages in the Whole earth Man v Horse event on Saturday 8th June 2019 at Llanwrtyd Wells, which as the title suggests is a race between Runners and horses over a challenging course of steep inclines and declines over 22.5 miles.

We are running to raise funds for Penallta Rugby club.

Penallta has a prestigious history in our local community and our success in recent years has attracted many more followers to support our cause. Our staff, members and volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the club running and provide tremendous support to our Mini & Juniors who, year after year, continue to exceed expectations and provide the club with talented, home-grown players that then go on to represent the senior sides.

As is ever the case, things would not be possible without the development of our young players at grass roots level. As a club, we have a lack of quality facilities to cater for rugby in and around our surrounding area. Playing fields are owned by local authority and we have no floodlit pitches at our grounds, so we rely heavily on hiring external venues - which is challenging and costly! I am doing this to support investment in our own facilities: floodlights to use on our own pitches in the winter, appropriate safety equipment and means of additional storage.
