I need specialised surgery to help rebuild and reconstruct my face after a near fatal disease called Necrotising Fasciitis "FLESH EATING BUG" nearly killed ne and i had to have life saving surgery which can only happen by surgery to remove the infected area which unfortunately for me was on the left side of my face.

This was me a week or so after my surgery in hospital. The left side of my face had to be completely removed in order to save my life. This horrendous rare condition was all from a small cut above my eyebrow.

This happened in january 2017 and i am trying as hard as i can to rebuild my life for the sake of my 3 kids. My eldest 2 have both flown the nest and living with there partners now, so its only myself and my little girl "Summer" at home now. I have been a single mum for a few years now as we lost summers dad 4 years ago when he passed away from a heart attack. Since then its been very difficult for us as a family but iv tried to keep going even in the darkest of days. I used to be a confident and outgoing person but these days i struggle to get out of the house. I

My kids are amazing with me but i know it is hurting them to see me down. I look in the mirror and i cant stand looking at the person staring back. I just want to have the confidence to go out and be happy again.

I have had a surgeon get intouch with me who can do more to help with getting my face back to looking something more like i did before this happened to me

But it is not on the NHS. Unfortunately for me i dont have any savings or funds to put towards any further surgery, so this is why i am doing this page in the hope that we can raise enough money to start the further reconstruction soon.

Im 46 years old and i just want to be able to live a normal life with my kids and have the confidence to do things with my family instead of hiding away.

At this moment in time, im feeling quite worried about what the future holds. I should be looking forward to the future, not fearing it. This opportunity i have been given to get the extra surgery is amazing, but its the money side of it thats holding me back. Thanks again for reading and for all the support.
