I've raised £10000 to Provide meals for NHS Doctors and Nurses, and Vulnerable People in the Community

The Old Wimbledonian's Association working with Donhead Preparatory School, The Friend's of Donhead, SAVE THE FOOD CLUB and the Dons Local Action Group.
By giving your generous donation we able to prepare ready made meals to be distributed to various Vulnerable People in the Community during these troubling times.
Including
- The Doctors and Nurse and Staff in various Hospitals.
- A 24 hour supported accommodation project which aims to provide a safe environment for adults with multiple support needs to enable them to move towards independence. Their residential services accommodate both men and women with mental health problems who have medium to high support needs. The project will also accept clients with multiple/complex support needs such as those with a dual diagnosis of mental health and substance use issues.
- Vulnerable person living on their own or in share properties, who need a ready prepared meal a few times a week.
We are working
SAVE THE FOOD CLUB are an amazing group who are busy collecting and delivering surplus food from the supermarkets to us to use in preparing the various ready made meals.
The Dons Local Action Group, working closely with the AFC Wimbledon Foundation. They have drawn up an action plan to help stranded individuals and families across Merton. They have donating stations outside major supermarkets in Merton and Kingston, where they collect the donated produce and then creates food packs for Individuals and families. The Sport Sections at the Club, including the Warriors are helping man these stations. They are now supplying us with ingredients for our meals.
CriticalNHS - They supply an important part of the ingredients, and the microwaveable containers for the meals.
Abel and Cole -They supply a large percentage of the fruit offering that we give out on daily basis.
In addition to the above, we have a local group of people that have come forward and committed themselves to providing freshly baked cakes and cookies on a daily basis.
THIS IS A NON-PROFIT campaign led by the Old Wimbledonians Association ("OWA"), where all funds raised will be used solely for the purposes of safely producing and delivering these meals. The OWA receives the majority of food and labour at no cost from our hugely generous community and partners. However, with the size and complexity of the operation being what it is, the OWA is incurring costs which, as a volunteer organisation itself, it cannot sustain alone in terms of additional food/ingredients, energy costs, stationery, food storage capacity equipment and food production fees. The OWA is carefully and judiciously using your generous donations to be able to carry on with, and where it reasonably can, expand its capacity to deliver this important service.
The Old Wimbledonains Sport's Association was originally created by former pupils of our Alma Mater - Wimbledon College. Wimbledon College was formed by the Jesuits in January 1892 and the Old Wimbledonian Association subsequently came into being from 1905.
