I've raised £1000 to help retired police and fire dogs, and volunteer SAR dogs

Wilson and I are raising money for Pensions4Paws and Hampshire Search & Rescue Dogs.
I stopped running Wilson earlier this year because of suspected arthritis in his hips. He does, however, LOVE his swimming at K9 Aquacise and Hydrotherapy in Romsey.
We'll be doing a dog duathlon on 7 September. I'll be running 20 miles, Wilson will be swimming for 20 minutes in the pool and it's all happening on his 10th birthday.
I was a bit blasé about the distance until I started training for it, and my legs said 'no thank you'. Wilson, however, will love his pool time.
So all in all, a fun way to mark a decade of Wilson! He will have a birthday steak once it's over for being a Very Good Boy.
My good friend Mel is doing the training with me - we're training up to 15 miles - which is a huge help. She has run loads of miles with me and Wilson over the years, and we often remark that we miss running with him.
Both me and Wilsy would really appreciate sponsorship for our amazing retired police and fire dogs, and the dedicated team of volunteers who search for vulnerable missing people. Incidentally, September marks my 10th anniversary with HSAR Dogs, during which time I've coordinated well over 600 callouts at all hours of the day or night.
Note: The money will be split between the two charities, with 75% going to P4P and 25% to the search dog team. Both are registered charities but I cannot set up one page linking to both.
