Story
To create a lasting legacy in celebration of producer David Johnson. The inaugural 'David Johnson Award for Emerging Talent' will take place at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2022. A team of scouts, chaired by arts/culture journalist Helen Hawkins will choose and present a cash award to the performer/s/show/creative independent that best reflects David's passionate and discerning eye for talent. David Johnson's flair for commercial theatre was matched, and often combined with, his fervent support of emerging and unique artists. This award will be made in that spirit.

2 years agoThe winners of the David Johnson Emerging Talent Award 2022 are coming to Soho Theatre 30 Mar – Sat 1 Apr 2023. Eve: All About Her and An Audience With Milly-Liu Thanks to your generous support, these remarkable performers get the chance to bring their 2022 Edinburgh Fringe shows to the West End's most scintillating venue (and DJ's favourite cabaret haunt).

Fringe mayhem is upon us an our quest to find an emerging artist, show or creative independent that Dj would have loved begins. Thanks to your support, we will be offering them the most valuable cash prize on the Fringe - £11,000 – with no strings attached.
