The dim riv has been a focal point within lerwick harbour for 40 years, offering trips around the harbour, giving people a chance to sail on a viking longship.

The longship is run and crewed by volunteers. Due to covid 19 we were unable to provide our normal trips resulting in a loss of income. We have been unable to access any grants and funds available but we still have the same running costs, with insurance, safety equipment to be maintained and because of the build of the Dim riv it is essential she is put in the water in the summer months to stop her drying out too much.

Any donation is gratefully received to help keep the Dim riv in the water for everybody to see and experience for the future.
