On the 14th April 2023 Gloucester will host Bath Rugby at Kingsholm. 6 former players that either represented one or both of these clubs are undertaking a derby day challenge to raise money for Ed and his family.

On the morning of the game we will be departing from Bath's Recreation Ground in our canoes, our plan is to paddle our way along the river Avon to the centre of Bristol. Here we will swap paddles for handlebars and cycle northwards to where the Gloucester and Sharpness canal meets the river Severn. At this point we will jump back into the water and continue to canoe until we reach Gloucester Quays. Our plan at this point is to carry our vessels through the city and into Kingsholm Stadium hopefully in time for the derby match.

Matt Garvey, Dan Murphy, Charlie Sharples, Olly Morgan, Todd Gleave and Matt Gilbert.
