Story
British skater Tish Marsh (14) and Russian/American skater Anton Spiridonov are a talented junior ice dance couple who have just been given the chance of a lifetime - going for Gold! Whilst it is still early days, Tish and Anton have just taken their first step on an amazing journey towards winning an Olympic Gold Medal at the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing. They now need to raise £5000 to contribute towards overseas training, living and travel expenses as they aim for the stars in 2016/17.
To achieve their Olympic dream, they are working full time, training for more than 30 hours a week on and off ice as the only Junior couple selected to be part of an elite training squad coached by Marina Zoueva and her team at the Arctic Edge Arena in Canton, Michigan. Here they have the opportunity to train and benchmark their skills alongside the world's top ice dance junior and senior couples including International Medalists, World Champions and Olympic Champions from the USA, Canada, Russia and Japan.
Whilst both Tish and Anton have very supportive parents, they need to find innovative ways to help to fund their training, living and travel expenses as they work towards qualifying for a place at the Junior World Championships next year. Any support or donations from corporate sponsors, private funding angels or community grants would be very gratefully received and acknowledged.
