I've raised £2350 to Help Dee to buy a folding electric wheelchair.

I noticed on Facebook that my lovely friend Dee was selling her personal belongings to try and raise funds to buy a new electric wheelchair that she’s desperate for and boy are these things expensive! Dee didn’t want to do a fundraiser as she Is a very proud lady but i saw what she was doing and really wanted to help. Here's Dee's story
"I've suffered with Scoliosis since the age of 14. Had decades of treatments from back braces , physio and special beds but nothing worked and in my 20s was told that it wouldn't get any worse or better. I continued to stuggle on in pain until it got too much and was forced to give up work in my late 40's. I've had 2 operations on my spine resulting in a spinal fusion and metal rods screwed onto my spine. This stabilised the curve from progressing but it didn't straighten me up and now have difficulty and pain whilst walking and my mobility is getting worse. There's nothing else medically that can be done for me. Though I do have a manual wheelchair I am unable to propel myself due to the pain and have to rely on family members to push my chair when I'm out which is now putting strain on their bodies. I need a folding electric wheelchair because I live in a flat with no lift. This chair could give me the independence I need and not reply on my family when I'm out." Dee.
If we all help out a little, it will add up and make a massive difference to Dee’s life. We‘ve got a big target but whatever we can do will be great. Thanks for reading and please share!! xx
