As you may or may not be aware Jules has been gravely sick for the past few months and Paul has been trying to nurse her at home but regrettably her condition has gone from bad to much worse which has resulted in Julie being admitted into hospital last Thursday.

After an initial assessment and a variety of extensive tests the doctors advised she was only a few days away from deaths door. Had she stayed at home she would have passed away as she has been diagnosed with Liver and Kidney failure and severe pernicious anaemia which is damaging her organs further.

Paul and Jules are required to have health care insurance to live here and they have the highest level of cover available to them. However this insurance package does not cover chronic illness which is sadly the category her sicknesses fall into.

The medical team here have been amazing and she is responding well to the treatment she is receiving but it is a long and expensive road. Her hospitalisation is a cost of £300 per day, which doesn’t include her daily blood transfusions and extra medication which is vital to her recovery .

Paul has used majority of his savings for her treatment so far and a deposit towards her ongoing treatment. However, regrettably this won’t meet the continuing medical attention she requires. Therefore we have set up this just giving page to enable Paul to care for Jules in hospital where she needs to be and not have the worry or burden of the financial implications of keeping her in hospital.
