On New Year's Day a drunk and brazen male smashed through the front window of my studio and after making four separate visits he took dresses and stock, leaving a trail of heartbreak and devastation to deal with.
Dresses that brides had waited months for and had entrusted me to make fit perfectly, dragged down the street and captured on the CCTV and ring doorbells of our close knit community and local businesses. The net is closing in as so many are helping to track him .
Those who know me well understand just how much the business and my clients and sewing family mean to me.
Since the event my priority has been to look out for all brides affected and with the help of my friends in the industry I have used my personal finances to ensure replacement dresses and solutions are in place immediately for all involved.
The next challenges are getting the business back up and running and ensuring the security is solid. As I clamber through the slow and meticulous insurance process I realise that my need to re-open urgently will be a strain .
